Each Monday here on the Red Bloom Realty Blog, I highlight a home in the Triangle that is in the mid-century style.
Let’s take a look today at a home on Peace Street in Durham. As you can see in the pictures, this place has super cute mid-century curb appeal. Ranches were very popular in the middle of the 1900s, as they were easy to build in many of the new neighborhoods that were popping up all over the country in post-WWII times. This home was built in 1956.
It appears to have been renovated nearly throughout, and unfortunately many of the mid-century features are gone (if you like HGTV homes, however, you’ll love it!) There are a few flourishes remaining, including the vibe of the basement and the sputnik light over the dining room table! See this home highlighted on our site for more pictures and let me know if you want to set up a showing!
